Lexi + Eric Brown

Lexi + Eric booked me right away for their wedding. If I am not mistaken they booked me end of 2019, early 2020. Lexi needed help finding a wedding venue and she was looking for a barn vibe. Her and Eric are very outdoors style and love to duck hunt together. I suggested the Serendipity Farms in Blanchard, MI. It was perfect for them! The venue is tucked away on a dirt road. It has stunning views, the neighbors have horses and behind the barn is a fire pit, and basically a forrest hahah. The barn is also air conditioned so that is a HUGE plus- if you’re getting married in the summer time- most barns don’t have heat/air btw.

Lexi and Eric where do I even begin, so most the time I connect with my couples during their engagement session, learn about them, their love and how they operate that kind of thing but that is not always the case, some people choose to go else where for engagement photos or none at all! And that is perfectly fine! So Lexi, Eric and I met for coffee and went over the details of their wedding which I do with all of my clients. Anyways so Lexi informed me that she lost her dad at a youngish age. She was incorporating her dad on her day which I thought was very special and I made notes of the important things. So skip forward to their wedding day- I don’t think I was a prepared for the most emotional wedding day ever. When I mean everyone morned the loss of Lexi’s dad, everyone did! The ceremony was very emotional. Lexi walked down the aisle with her mom, step dad AND in her DAD’S BOOTS so he got to walk her down the aisle too. 😭 I am a very emotional person and I am not sure how I kept my cool when this happened. At the end of the aisle was an empty chair with a photo box of Lexi’s dad. When she got to the chair she changed out of her dads boot and into her boots. Everyone was in puddles. Lexi’s dad was definitely there with everyone. Eric cried, Lexi cried, Lexi’s family cried, oh man. Puddles I am telling you! After the ceremony we had some fun with taking photos then dinner, then cake and then came the first dances. Lexi shared an emotional first dance or dances with her step dad, grandpas, and uncles. All the men that stepped up for her when she needed a father figure. Everyone started crying again. After that was some heartfelt speeches from the best man and maid of honor. There was little old me crying behind my camera when this happened. But don’t worry I pulled myself together and got some great photos! ;) Ending the night I took Eric + Lexi to take some photos of just the two of them. It wasn't sunset time but it was still just as dreamy. Lexi and Eric picked the 6 hour package that I have. I think everyone is worried we won’t have enough time but we can work miracles and get SO much in 6 hours! This wedding was so amazing and memorable by far. I loved the closeness everyone shared, family, friends all seemed so supportive and loved! I will never forget this day!!
